Sticky Pork Sirloin Stir-Fry Bowls

Tender pork sirloin strips flash-fried with colourful seasonal veggies, tossed in a sweet soy and ginger sauce, and served on steamed jasmine rice. Finished with fresh herbs and a squeeze of lime, this bowl is a perfect balance of sweet, savoury, and aromatic flavours.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Pork Sirloin Steak
  • 2 cups Jasmine rice
  • 1 each Carrot
  • 200 g broccoli
  • 1 each Red capsicum
  • 1 each Brown onion
  • 4 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 20 g Ginger
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 each Lime
  • 0.5 bunch Coriander
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp Sunflower oil

Instructions

  1. Cook jasmine rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside and keep warm.
  2. Thinly slice pork sirloin steak into strips and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat half the sunflower oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  4. Add pork strips and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until just cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.
  5. Add the remaining sunflower oil to the pan.
  6. Stir-fry chopped brown onion, grated ginger, and minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
  7. Add thinly sliced carrot, broccolini florets, and red capsicum slices to the pan.
  8. Stir-fry vegetables for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  9. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, and the juice of half a lime to create the sticky sauce.
  10. Return pork to the pan and pour over the sticky sauce. Toss to coat everything evenly and cook for 2 more minutes.
  11. Serve stir-fried pork and vegetables over a bed of steamed jasmine rice.
  12. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and a wedge of lime on the side.
