Ingredients
- 400 g Pork Sizzle Steaks
- 2 cups Jasmine Rice
- 1 head Broccoli
- 2 large Carrot
- 1 large Capsicum
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 1 thumb-sized piece Ginger
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce
- 2 tsp Brown Sugar
- 1.5 tsp Cornflour
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 stalks Spring Onions
- 2 tsp Sesame Seeds
Instructions
- Cook the jasmine rice according to the package instructions. Fluff with a fork once ready and set aside, keeping it warm.
- Slice the pork sizzle steaks into thin strips and set aside.
- Prepare the vegetables: Cut the broccoli into florets, slice the carrot into thin rounds, and the capsicum into strips. Mince the garlic and grate the ginger.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and cornflour with 2 tablespoons of water. Set aside the sauce.
- Heat a large wok or frying pan over high heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Once hot, add the pork strips in batches and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until golden and just cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Add another tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan. Toss in the garlic and ginger, stir-frying for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli, carrot, and capsicum to the pan. Stir-fry the vegetables for 4-5 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.
- Return the pork to the pan, then pour in the sauce mixture. Stir well, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the meat and vegetables evenly.
- Serve the stir-fry over the cooked jasmine rice, garnishing with sliced spring onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
