Classic Beef Bolognese

Traditional beef mince bolognese sauce served over spaghetti and topped with parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 500 g No Added Hormone Beef 3 Star Regular Mince
  • 500 g Spaghetti
  • 1 each Brown onion
  • 500 g Dolmio Extra Pasta Sauce Bolognese
  • 60 g Parmesan
  • 1 each Carrot
  • 2 stalks Celery stalk
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Dice the brown onion, carrot, and celery. Add them to the pan and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  3. Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add the beef mince to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
  5. Pour in the Dolmio Extra Pasta Sauce and stir well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
  6. Boil a large pot of salted water and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  7. Season the bolognese sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the cooked spaghetti topped with the bolognese sauce and a sprinkle of grated parmesan.
