Ingredients
- 4 each Pork loin steaks thin cut
- 8 slice White bread
- 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 2 each Eggs
- 0.5 cup Plain flour
- 300 g Cabbage
- 1 each Carrot
- 2 stalk Spring onion
- 0.5 cup Kewpie mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sriracha
- 400 ml Vegetable oil
Instructions
- Prepare the slaw by finely shredding the cabbage, grating the carrot, and thinly slicing the spring onion. Mix them in a bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and sriracha to make a dressing for the slaw. Toss the slaw with this dressing and set aside.
- Prepare three separate bowls for crumbing the pork: one with flour, another with beaten eggs, and a third with panko breadcrumbs.
- Pound the pork loin steaks gently to ensure even thickness. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each pork steak in flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the crumb-coated pork for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Lightly toast the slices of white bread if desired.
- To assemble, spread Kewpie mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread. Place a piece of crispy pork on a slice, top with the prepared slaw, and sandwich with another slice of bread.
- Slice the sandwiches into halves or thirds for easier handling. Serve immediately and enjoy!
