Ingredients

  • 500 g Pork & Beef 3 Star Regular Mince Bolognese
  • 400 g penne pasta
  • 500 ml tomato passata
  • 200 g mozzarella cheese
  • 100 g parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 each brown onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. Cook the penne pasta according to the packet instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until softened.
  4. Add the pork and beef mince to the pan, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned.
  5. Pour in the tomato passata, sprinkle with oregano, and stir well. Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta and the bolognese sauce until well mixed.
  7. Transfer the pasta and bolognese mixture into a baking dish. Sprinkle generously with mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
