Ingredients
- 500 g Pork & Beef 3 Star Regular Mince Bolognese
- 800 g potato
- 150 g carrot
- 150 g brown onion
- 150 g frozen peas
- 250 ml beef stock
- 60 g tomato paste
- 30 ml worcestershire sauce
- 125 ml milk
- 50 g butter
- 15 g plain flour
- 15 ml olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C.
- Peel and chop the potatoes into even chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15 minutes.
- While the potatoes cook, peel and finely dice the carrot and brown onion.
- Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion and carrot until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the pork and beef mince to the pan. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned.
- Stir in the flour, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef stock. Mix well and let it simmer for 10 minutes, adding the frozen peas in the last few minutes of cooking.
- Drain the cooked potatoes and mash them with the butter and milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the mince and vegetable mixture evenly in an ovenproof dish. Top with the mashed potato, spreading it evenly to cover the filling.
- Optionally, drag a fork over the surface of the mashed potatoes to create ridges for extra crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
