Ingredients

  • 800 g Coles Pork 3 Star Regular Mince
  • 500 g spaghetti
  • 800 g canned tomatoes
  • 1 each onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 g basil
  • 50 g parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
  3. Stir in the pork mince, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook until browned.
  4. Add the canned tomatoes and stir well.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar to balance the acidity of tomatoes.
  6. Lower the heat and let the sauce simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
  8. Drain the spaghetti and toss it with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
  9. Serve the pork Bolognese sauce over the spaghetti.
  10. Garnish with fresh basil and grated parmesan cheese.
